Enterprise insights turns your dashboard into a report for your CSR, finance and marketing teams. It covers the Reporting period you choose at the top of the dashboard, like the rest of the page. It refreshes every 5 minutes; select Refresh to update it right away.

Every figure is counted from Forward Tab's ledger of payments, meal tickets and payouts. None of it is an estimate, and nothing about the guests who claim meals is recorded.

Enterprise insights: meals funded, money paid to local restaurants and the community multiplier

Meals funded

The meals your sponsorship payments received in the period paid for. Some may still be waiting for room on a Community Board: a board holds a set number of tickets, and the rest of the money waits in the restaurant's escrow wallet until tickets are claimed. Below it is how many of those meals have been claimed so far.

Community multiplier

Your funds don't work alone. Community donations, other sponsors, grants and the restaurants' own matched meals also fill your restaurants' Community Boards. The multiplier shows how far your support goes alongside them:

Your funds combined with community donations and other support resulted in a 1.3× impact multiplier.

It's the value of all the meals put on tickets at your boards in the period, divided by the value that came from your sponsorship, rounded down to one decimal place. The card lists every source with its amount, so you can see exactly what makes up the figure:

Source

What it is

Your sponsorship

The Restricted Restaurant Escrow from your payments.

Community donations

Gifts from the public, at the table or online.

Other sponsors

Other businesses sponsoring the same boards (a board can have up to five sponsors).

Grants

Grant funding allocated to the restaurants.

Restaurant matches (in kind)

Meals a restaurant adds by matching patron gifts. They're given by the restaurant, not paid for.

If none of your funds went onto meal tickets in the period, there's no multiplier to show yet.

Fund velocity

How quickly your Restricted Restaurant Escrow is being used, month by month:

  • Put on meal tickets (bars): escrow that became meal tickets on your boards that month.
  • Claimed by neighbors (bars): the value of your tickets that were claimed that month.
  • Waiting at month end (line): escrow you've paid that isn't on a ticket yet. It sits in the restaurants' escrow wallets until there's room on the boards. Payments held while Forward Tab sets up your boards count as waiting.

Above the chart, Drawn down per month is the recent average (the last three months shown), and Lasts at that rate is how many months the escrow still waiting would last at that pace. Select Show as a table for the figures behind the chart.

Local economic value

  • Paid to local independent restaurants: what your restaurants were paid for meals your funds paid for and that were served in the period. The restaurant is paid when a meal is served, from the Restricted Restaurant Escrow, never from the support fee.
  • All payouts to your restaurants: every payout sent to your restaurants in the period, for meals from every source, including yours. It's shown with the Local economic stimulus benefit.

Peak need times

When meals were claimed from your Community Boards in the period, in each restaurant's local time:

  • Weekdays (Monday to Friday) and Weekends (Saturday and Sunday);
  • Breakfast (5 am – 11 am), Lunch (11 am – 4 pm), Dinner (4 pm – 10 pm) and Late night (10 pm – 5 am).

Below the chart are the totals for each day of the week. To protect the privacy of individual guests, a count of one or two meals is hidden, shown as "fewer than 3" or "<3", never as a number.

Geographic footprint

A map of your sponsored restaurants. Each circle is one restaurant, and the more meals from your funds, the larger the circle. Point to a circle to see the restaurant, its city and ZIP code, and its meals. Drag to move around the map and use + and − to zoom.

The table below the map totals each ZIP code:

  • Meals from your funds: meals put on tickets from your sponsorship in the period.
  • Meals served: meals claimed at those boards in the period, from every source.

A restaurant appears on the map once Forward Tab has located its address, usually within minutes of it joining. The map is from OpenStreetMap.

Restaurant Spotlight

A ready-made post for your social channels, such as LinkedIn, about the restaurant that served the most meals from your funds this month. If no meals from your funds were served this month yet, it shows last month's.

Only restaurants that agreed to be featured by their sponsors appear. A restaurant's manager chooses this in its own settings and can change their mind at any time. If none of your restaurants has agreed yet, the card says so.

The card shows the restaurant's name, city, logo and description, and how many meals from your funds it served. Ready to share has the text of the post; select Copy text and paste it into your post. Restaurant's website opens the restaurant's own site, if it has one.

Keep posts factual: describe the meals and the restaurant, and tag Forward Tab if you like. Please don't imply that the restaurant endorses your products or services.

Common questions

Why is the multiplier different from the dashboard's meal counts?

The multiplier compares money: the value of meals put on tickets at your boards in the period, by source. The dashboard's other meal figures count tickets.

Why is "Meals funded" lower than the meals on my boards?

"Meals funded" counts only meals your own payments paid for. The boards also carry meals from donors and from any other sponsors.

Can I see the restaurants on the map that haven't agreed to the spotlight?

Yes. The map and the ZIP code table show all your sponsored restaurants. Only the Restaurant Spotlight needs the restaurant's agreement.

Why don't you show brand impressions?

Forward Tab doesn't measure how many people see a Community Board, so it doesn't estimate impressions. Every figure in Enterprise insights is counted, not estimated.
